Solstice Completed

My little projects are starting to build up, and I need to deal with them because my threshold for unfinished business is low.  So when I get too much going at one time, I’ll take a day to finish some things; like the Serious Solstice Jacket I made commemorating the lunar eclipse.

There was too much going on in the back and it needed balance.  Because it had a two-snap closure, I found some old black buttons and ripped some of the same backing fabric into ties which I made into a bow. It’s ornamental and doesn’t really tie anything, but it finishes the piece off.

About Patsye

I am an older woman and artist. I love to craft. I love to sew and knit and crochet and needlepoint. I love to paint and draw and make art with my hands. Being creative is what gets me up in the morning. Art is my tea, my fresh air, my good book, and my cats all rolled into one. I have much to share and hope you'll visit often.

  1. That looks great, nice finishing touch, Patsye!
I also like your blog’s holiday look (and the fact that I’m in love with Christmas has nothing to do with it) 😉
