As my cat watches…

I have linen flower petals drying in the oven.

Waiting

There are several dozen hang tags browning up in a tea pot.  There is a bunch of scrap metal deliberately rusting on the lanai.  I am about to iron some paper I have crumbled, stamped, soaked and scraped.  And as I type, my dryer tumbles the stretchy life out of an old wool sweater.  This is an artist’s house.

About Patsye

I am an older woman and artist. I love to craft. I love to sew and knit and crochet and needlepoint. I love to paint and draw and make art with my hands. Being creative is what gets me up in the morning. Art is my tea, my fresh air, my good book, and my cats all rolled into one. I have much to share and hope you'll visit often.

You should — I think — sorry for advice not asked for — format your poem so it reads as a poem. Yes? Anyway, I like it. Carley

    • Hi Carley. Thank you for reading my blog, and thank you for the advice. You must be a poet. I am not. Though I have a keen grasp of the King’s english, and I was once a wordsmith for a small newspaper, I’ve never been a poet and wouldn’t know where to begin. I’m glad you liked it. That makes me happy. Patsye
