Alphabet Art: A Textile Collage Book (letter F)

Letter F, Click for Details

The most recent Art Quilting Studio by Stampington & Company was the muse for the fish and the letter F.  The more I do these pages, the more pages I want to do.  These are like self-perpetuating art, AND they are very addictive.

I stamped the alphabet onto the fish so that they almost look like scales.  The fins and tail are scrap lace, and the eye is a brown-dyed fresh-water pearl. Much of the fabric scraps are silk.  The ribbon panels are actually from a pillow that had a huge stain but, as usual, was saved for recycling.

About Patsye

I am an older woman and artist. I love to craft. I love to sew and knit and crochet and needlepoint. I love to paint and draw and make art with my hands. Being creative is what gets me up in the morning. Art is my tea, my fresh air, my good book, and my cats all rolled into one. I have much to share and hope you'll visit often.
