There was a time when I had a quilt frame set up in my dining room instead of a dining table. I once pieced and hand-quilted a queen sized quilt in less than four months. My needle rocking had rhythm, and my stitches were between 9 and 11 per inch. I can’t imagine doing that now, but my love of quilting has not waned. Now and then I piece a “quilt-a-month” kit I have collected, and if they were smaller I’d be using some of them in this textile book.
This little 12 X 12 inch quilt is one of two I made years ago and is a representation of a big quilt I made. I think I was going to make pillows out of them and never did (imagine that!). So I simply added the small word patches, making this the easiest and quickest page so far. Six down, twenty to go.
