In 1969 Vince Lombardi (yes, that Vince Lombardi) was the Redskins’ coach.  It was also the year I discovered football, and I have not looked back.  I am a huge fan.

So I thought given that the “Skins” are on Monday Night pre-season tonight, and it’s a national game, I might try my hand at some football gestures. John Riggins was the MVP of Superbowl 17, and forever holds a special place in my football heart.  Here are two similar sketches with different colors, and one much looser than the other.

About whimseytopia

I am an older woman and artist. I love to craft. I love to sew and knit and crochet and needlepoint. I love to paint and draw and make art with my hands. At this particular moment in time, I am trying to learn to watercolor. Being creative is what gets me up in the morning. Art is my tea, my fresh air, my good book, and my cats all rolled into one. I have much to share and hope you'll visit often.
